you say your sleep is naked

you say your sleep is naked
raw, real and unrestrained
protected from the outside world
behind veiled eyes

myriad dreams
sift through a kalediscope
exposing your soul
to indescribable experiences

this sleepy night
murmurs
of yesterday's passion
eyes wide shut

layer upon layer, peeled away
leaving places and people behind
leaving roads and paths behind
this darkest hour

your dream
where strewn garments cling to wooden floors
your unseen lips visit my skin
handless caresses linger

in the early dawn I awaken
visited by your dream
your three kisses absolute
leave me naked

how ironic... was planning to post about a dream today as well. really enjoyed chatting to you earlier. you mean a lot to me.

this poem is one of the ones that has me rereading it to understand the context fully. but again... true emotion is felt.
