the bench on the beach

I sit
waiting
bolted
motionless
powerless

I glance down
my hands
hungrily search
anguished cracks
pealing pale blue, twisted, splintered

this bench
a victim of wild turbulent, merciless seas
soft,creamy silk skirt snagged willingly
a tiny singlular thread, hooked
ravished by the splintered edges

held captive
held closely
held possesively

this bench
knowingly, treasures the comfort of my body
solid strength
relentless power

this bench
built for this intoxicating view
comforts me as I close my eyes and melt into a cobalt blue abyss
thoughts swirling...wild, passionate musical nights

this bench won't let me go
