A guide to the stars

They no longer questioned life and its guide to the stars above. They were often caught glancing up at the sky in the hope of spotting a blazing star. Years passed by and when they least expected it a blazing star surprised them. It's nearness and intensity overwhelming. Without hesitation they had reached up to touch this phenomenon, surprised it did not scathe or retract but instead shone more brightly and beautifully than before. There was now a reason to glance upward, for the desire to see it appear again was the most intense impulse that had ever ruled their thoughts.
